Concert-goers, event attendees and basketball fans will enjoy free parking at the new Oshkosh Arena, thanks to the sponsorship of Verve, a Credit Union. Announced at a news conference on Wednesday, the deal will extend free parking to all events at the arena from now through 2023. This marks the first major sponsorship announced for the new arena, which is scheduled to open in November.
The city of Oshkosh is getting state support on a project to rebuild road near the Milwaukee Bucks' incoming D-League arena on South Main Street. On Monday, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. pledged a $250,000 state grant to the city to help fund infrastructure improvements near the new arena, where the Wisconsin Herd, a new Bucks NBA Development League team, will play this fall.
